Hi my name is Raj and I've lived in Stevenage for the last 30yrs.

I have been a volunteer with Kaotic Angels Food Angels for a little over 2yrs now .

The reason why I have become a volunteer for KA food angels, is to give back to the community and spread some happiness and joy back into the families that need it .

I myself have been through tough times before and understand how hard it is and can be to get by.

I along with the team of amazing, beautiful, kind , caring KA volunteers work together as a great team to support the community and wish to do so as long as we can .

I like helping at the food station, because some people really need some help and we can help give them food to help them. Also, sometimes we give out other things like toys and books. And everyone is always happy and smiling. And all the Kaotic Angels are my family.

I can honestly say that I get so much out of volunteering for Kaotic Angels. I love helping people and feel that I have added another layer of caring. It is so satisfying to know that each and every week that I am at the food station I have helped at least one person. It has been so rewarding to build up realtionshops with people that come every week.

I wanted to start volunteering with the KA because when times were very tough for me, they helped me without hesitation and without judgement.

Everyone was so lovely and made me feel like I was doing a great job, despite me not feeling like it. This brought so much needed joy to my day and made me want to do the same for others. I now get to be the person to bring a smile to someone else’s day and put a smile on their face.

You never know what someone is going through and if I can help someone who was in my position, I don’t want to hesitate.
