The Food Angels are a volunteer/supporter section of the Kaotic Angel Foundation and operate under the charity's banner. They organise our regular Food Stations which take place in Stevenage and Baldock – with more to open soon.
The Food Stations began as the inspired idea of one of our amazing volunteers, and they’ve quickly grown into something truly special for our community. What started as a simple act of kindness has become a lifeline for many and a welcoming space for everyone.
Our mission is simple: reduce food waste and make good food accessible to all. By rescuing perfectly usable food that would otherwise end up in landfill, we’re helping the environment while supporting our neighbours — whether they’re facing hardship or simply want to make use of what’s available. Anyone is welcome to collect food from our stations. There’s no judgement, no criteria, no questions asked.
The food and ingredients we share come from supermarkets, independent retailers, small local shops, and generous individuals who believe in what we do. We’re also proud to support schools who want to set up their own Food Stations, helping them build the same sense of community and care.
Food donations are always appreciated — every contribution helps us keep the stations stocked and the community supported.
We’re often mistaken for other food‑support organisations, so it’s important to say: we are not a Food Bank. Food Banks work on a means‑tested basis. We don’t. Our doors — and our hearts — are open to everyone.
